I chose this image because it is related to my favorite story that I re-wrote in my own words. This story is my favorite because I decided to empower women in this rewrite. Women in the original stories do not have a voice of their own, so giving them their own voice was empowering for myself.

Overall, I the assignments have been working well for me, however, this past week I fell off track and just took a week off from not doing any assignments. This probably was not the smartest choice, but mentally, I needed a break. I am happy with my blog. I was playing around with different layouts and customized it myself weeks ago. I think my stories are going well for me and my classmates seem to enjoy them as well. So far, I really do not think I have had a favorite reading from the assigned readings. I love to read, but on my own terms. I feel like reading for school is forced on us and takes the fun out of it. My reading notes are helping with creating my own stories because I have also annotated my thoughts when I read a particular sentence, so when it goes to writing my own story, I know what approach to take and how to spin the story to be unique,
