Granny's Blackie refusing money

- One day a rich man gifted a baby elephant to a lady
- The lady named the elephant Blackie and the neighborhood children named the lady Granny
- The elephant grew to be loved by all who surrounded him
- Blackie even played with the neighborhood children
- Their playing consisted of tossing and swinging the children in the air
- Blackie's life was amazing and there was no work involved
- One day, Blackie noticed that Granny was getting old and needed help with work
- Blackie set out on his own and found work to do
- A man offered him two silver pieces for every wagon he helped pull and so Blackie decided to help
- The man was a liar and only payed Blacked one silver piece for every wagon, so Blackie sat in the road and blocked the wagons
- Blackie did not accept the money and did not move either
- Finally the man paid Blackie the money that was owed and Blackie set home to be with Granny
- Granny was pleased with Blackie and the earnings
- Granny knew Blackie was amazing
